It may seem like a difficult task, but it is genuinely beauteous easy if someone tells you how to do it. You will need a pair of wire strippers and a little screwdriver.
Where to Buy the Right Wire
The initial step is to buy the right wire. Sprinkler wire is sold at hardware stores and sprinkler supply stores. If you need a lot of wire, it is better to shop at the sprinkler supply store. Sprinkler wire is an 18 gauge wire.
Number of Strands
A strand is the same thing as one wire. You must get one more strand than the number of valves being used. For example, a seven valve scheme would use an eight stranded wire (eight wires).
Solenoids
There is one solenoid per valve. Each solenoid has two wires already connected to it. Pick one wire from each solenoid and twist them tightly together. It doesn’t matter which solenoid wire you pick.
White Wire or Common Wire
It’s an unwritten rule that the white wire will be the mutual wire. Stick by this rule to prevent confusedness by others working on your system. It’s called mutual because it is used on all valves. The white wire will be hooked up to the huge bundle of solenoid wires. For example, if you have four valves there will be four solenoid wires and one white mutual wire all hooked together with a wire connector.
Pick your Colors
Once the white wire is connected to one wire from each solenoid, pick any color you wish and connect it with a wire nut to the other solenoid wire. On a four valve scheme you might pick blue, black, green, and red for each valve and run the white wire to each valve as well. In total, for four valves, you will need five strands of 18 gauge sprinkler wire. Keeping track of colors will support you recognise which timer station will turn on which valve.
Run the Wire Back to the Clock
Take the wire to the timer. To get wire into the garage, it is helpful to use a hammer drill and a great deal of foam sealant around the wire hole.
Hooking Up the Timer
You will need a little screwdriver for most timers. Connect the white wire to the terminal that says C. Connect the colored wires to the further and added terminals. It doesn’t matter what order the colored wires are installed. You may want to have the wires in a sure order for your convenience, but it’s not required. For example you may want station 1-3 to be the front yard only.
You will likewise need to hook up the power. Connect the power pack to the ac terminals. If you are using an outdoor timer, make sure you have a pigtail rather of an ac adapter.
Final Tip
Most contractors use silicone filled wire nuts. The theory is that they keep out water and make the connection last longer. However, a great deal of landscapers disagree. The silicone keeps out water but interferes with making a good tight connection. For this reason, we commend using regular wire nuts. The extreme wire connection is a regular orange wire nut in a grease filled cap. They are made for direct inter and somewhat over kill for sprinkler boxes, but if you want quality they will do an amazing job.

Get severe with your sinuses. The Grossan Hydro Pulse Sinus System is the firstborn pulsating scheme distinctively for nasal and sinus irrigation. Not just a cleanse or rinse, the pulsating action is clinically proven to make your sinus cilia – the body’s firstborn line of defense versus contagions, pollen, and alien matter – work better. Invented by MD specialist Murray Grossan, this is the severe but pleasant way to good sinus health in a medically recognized (covered in dozens of medical diary articles) but drug-free way. Featured in Time Magazine’s Best Inventions Report. Elevated pollen got you down? The Hydro Pulse restores sinus cilia to good health so they may quickly eliminate pollen from the body – without costly drugs and their side effects. This is a pleasant treatment done at home, designed to be super-gentle, exceptionally when used with our Breathe-ease solution. Over a quarter of a million users, as young as six years old. Pots, bulbs, other methods might “clean” your nose, sort of – but they’re messy, difficult to use, and do not pulsate. Pulsatile irrigation is different; it genuinely restores your own body’s health maintenance system, the sinus cilia. The Hydro Pulse is also commodious – never messy – always tame and pleasant. The unit does all the work for you, our commodious thumb switch makes it easy. Bonus: Fresher Breath. The Hydro Pulse System includes a three-way innovative breath freshening system. Research shows that breath difficultnesses come from the nose and throat (not the stomach as is normally thought.) Our scheme inlcudes a particular tip for finish breath control. System includes: Base unit, 2 Sinus tips, 2 Throat tips/integral tongue cleaners (for breath control), Breathe-ease irrigation solution samples, and finish instructions.

Lacks Longevity By College Counselor I am a convert to the idea of nasal irrigation, having previously used a waterpik with a nasal adapter for several years. There is no question that nasal irrigation can alleviate sinus problems. I decided to try the Grossan Nasal Irrigation System and found the pulsation an improvement over the waterpik. The Grossan provides more control over the strength of the stream of water. HOWEVER, my Grossan began to link around the 8th month of use and completely failed 29 days after the one year warranty. Considering that the Grossan is close to $100, I can’t recommend it. It is too expensive when it fails in so short a time. Another reviewer mentioned that he had gone through two Grossans in a relatively short period of time. I took the Grossan apart after it failed to see if there was any way I could fix it. The motor is not well protected from any water seepage which suggests to me that once it begins to leak through the bottom, its days are limited.

4 stars for the concept and results, less for this product By B. Edwards I wavered whether to give 2 stars or 5. I decided on four to encourage ANYone to use sinus irrigation using this method vs anything else out there I know about (and I have used them, all, neti pot, sinus surgeries, squeeze bottles, etc)

Works, but is the cheapest, worst made piece of junk I have ever owned. By James A. Hall This thing works great. It clears out the stuff in your sinuses and has been the only thing that brings me relief from sinus congestion.
That being said, it is, without a doubt, the cheapest piece of junk I have ever owned. And I’ve owned FOUR of these puppies. I’ve never had one last more than a year, and yes I follow all the instructions, using distilled water and flushing the system out after use. At $100 a pop, that gets expensive.
They inevitably start leaking all over the place, and once that happens, the motor burn-out will occur shortly after. I never would have bought more than 2 if I wasn’t so desparate for it.
There appear to be other nasal irrigators on the market now. I have not tried them, but after throwing $400 at the Grossan over the last 4 years, I am going to try something different.
So to sum it, it works well, but is almost guaranteed to fail on you with any kind of regular use. Be prepared.
