A drip irrigation scheme is a group of interconnected flexible plastic tubing. The tubes have holes cut at sure spaces to fit with the placement of your plants. The entire system is either buried or placed on the ground besides the plants.

3Not many options out there but this is decent
By dunkalicious
OK first the pros, this will save you a lot of time compared with the “pull out the hose and spray it around” method. A lot of time. And your patio plants will love you for it too–I grow tomatoes, herbs, and flowers on my patio and all my little ones produced much better when I got this (with less water waste).

The downside… The attachment from the spigot to the machine always leaked. I couldnt’ get it to fit perfectly right, despite trying everything in the manual. It would be really nice if they also included a rubber tube or something to fit over the threads and the end of the tube that attaches to the spigot to make sure nothing leaks.
The machine itself also conked out after about a year…I changed the battery and everything, but it never worked right again. I did buy another, but if there was another option out there I probably would have gone with a different brand.

3Product description is wrong

It is 1/4 inch tubing and all accessories, not 1/2 inch. Repeat, there is no 1/2 tubing with this kit. The only way it differs from the much cheaper container kit (R552D) is that this one includes an automatic timer.
After looking at reviews for the included timer here at Amazon, I would probably just get the cheaper kit at $20, and get a better rated timer from another company.

4Happy with it …
By SSF
We’ve had the system for about a month & we’re happy we purchased it.

The system was somewhat easy to set up, although we did need to spend extra time re-adjusting the flow. Despite using almost all of the tubing, there are no leaks. The timer is wonderful! Just came home from a 2-week vacation & all of the deck plants are healthy.

We have 15 pots on the system and needed to remove the flow control to push water to the end plants. Watering 20 plants might be optimistic.
